When working on Horizon Beverage in Oakland, California, we were confined by a restricted schedule. We successfully completed this project, pouring the concrete slab over a three-day period, which was 46,666 sq. ft. of concrete per day.
The concrete slab on grade was unique in design, as it was 24” thick, with a double matte of reinforcement and not a single control joint or saw cut placed in it. This was a design request by the owner to eliminate the maintenance usually required with floor joints.
